what started the Boston Massacre?

Before the massacre, the British made a bunch of new faces on the American colonies. Including tea, glass, paper, paint, lead. These were called the "Townshend Acts" and the colonies did not like these laws. They felt they were violating their rights. The Townshend acts created tensions between American and British and is what ultimately caused the Boston massacre to occur.

According to Americaslibrary.. It was a tension between the American colonists and the British. British soldiers were guarding the Boston Customs House. One of the soldiers was enraged when they were hit and they fired into the crowd. When they were ordered not to fire.  Five colonists were shot and killed.
